It was a -2°C (28°F) departure from Tinghir this morning and after a couple of hours running parallel to the Atlas Mountains, we stopped in Ouarzazate for lunch. The town is home to Atlas Corporation Studios and the movie sets for the likes of Gladiator, The Mummy, The Living Daylights and more recently Game Of Thrones.
From there it was on to Aït Ben Haddou, our overnight stop and where we got to explore Ksar, a traditional pre-Saharan habitat of earthen buildings.

Day 6 - Todra Gorge/Ait Benhaddou
Visit the Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Opt to participate in a tagine cooking class for an intro to Moroccan cuisine.
Travel along the “Route of 1000 Kasbahs” to the thriving town of Ouarzazate for a lunch stop. This town is home to Atlas Film Studios, where many films have been shot over the years, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator.
Continue on to the fascinating and beautiful Aït Ben Haddou, a wonderful example of a kasbah.
