We parked up for lunch at the local Shoprite in the regional town of Mzuzu. I went in search of some ice after restocking my esky, but none of the local shops had any. Never fear, plenty of locals here and so the the great ice hunt was on. I ended up with 5 bags of block ice from 4 different fellas after word got out that this "mizungu" had cash for frozen water.
