Fukuoka ~ Tower

DAY 8b

Saturday November 3rd, 2012

At 234 meters (768 feet), the Fukuoka Tower is the highest seaside tower in Japan.

The tower was built in 1989 as a monument of the Asian Pacific Expo (Yokatopia), an event to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the enforcement of the Fukuoka City organization.

The tower is just that, a tower. It has no floors, other than the lobby and the observation deck at the top of the tower.
