The first part of our scheduled 9 hour Arenal Highlights Combo: Hanging Bridges, Volcano Hike & Catarata Río Fortuna tour was the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park, located a ½ hour drive west of La Fortuna.
We spent the best part of 3½ hours exploring the 3.2 kilometre (2 mile) dense jungle walk, on well-maintained paved pathways and hanging bridges, some of which were a hundred meters (300+ feet) up in the canopy of the rain forest.
