The Torre del Caballito (Caballito Tower) measures 135 metres (443 feet) & 35 storeys tall and is considered one of world’s safest skyscrapers because it has resisted three significant earthquakes due to its has 70 seismic shocks and is anchored to the ground by 185 concrete piles, which penetrate 60 metres (197 feet) in to the ground, surpassing the old swampy landfill lake below Mexico City.

Not that those facts mattered to me, I actually loved the look of the imposing yellow Sculpture El Caballito out the front.Be Happy

The work was produced by the sculptor Sebastian, whose real name is Enrique Carbajal. It represents the head of a horse, was built with steel plates coated with acrylic enamel and measures 28 metres (92 feet). It was inaugurated on January 15, 1992 to replace El Caballito de Manuel Tolsá that can be found today outside the Palacio de Minería (Palace of Mines).
