The Hemiciclo a Juarez (Benito Juárez Hemicycle) sits amid the the oldest public park in the Americas - Alameda Central in downtown Mexico City.
The monument commemorates the Mexican statesman Benito Juárez, with construction starting in 1906 to mark the centennial of Juárez's birth and it was dedicated on September 18, 1910.
