Today, was the first "official" day of the 17th World Golden Oldies Rugby Festival.
The festival comes on the backend of the Edinburgh International Festival which saw our Opening Ceremony being held on the temporary "stadium" seating at the entrance of Edinburgh Castle. The facility was also the venue of the world famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Nearly 3000 attendees comprising of 120+ teams from 20 nations are participating in this years fun, friendship & fraternity. After the official speaches, we all headed off on our "Parade Of Nations" through the Royal Mile which was lined with a heap of locals and tourists alike, waving and cheering us all on.
The Welcome Reception was held on the ground of Spiegel Gardens and went long into the night.
